Jufu, The TikTok Star, is new to the scene, but his music gives the early impression that he's going to be here for a while. The Brooklyn born artist first reached commercial audiences with his TikTok account that has over 1.7 Million followers and just over 80 videos.
After he released Who Are You, it was clear he had a knack for music as well, and this led to a record deal at Island Records. Part of signing a record deal means that you, unsurprisingly, have to make more music. This leads us to his newest single release titled, What's the Vibe.
The latest release contrast his popular track, Who Are You, by having influences from his new label and a more developed flow. The track features melodic, airy synth that captures the hook, "Lil shorty what's the vibe" through sound: a vibe. The song is a plea to a baddy that the artist wants to put to bed. The lyrics move between him stating his case that he won't catch feelings and proving that he's a baller. With bars like "Patek on the wrist" and "Glove on like I'm Michael" it's pretty easy to do both. The beat is carried by hits that accentuate the wavy feel of the overall song. The track is one of those summertime party tracks and should be added to any pregame playlist you have stored away.
