Arrangements Album Art

Written By: Nuance Editorial Team

Happy Nuance Music Friday! The weekend is back like it never left, and there’s a wave of new music to explore. We’ve got an exciting post-punk album from our polite neighbors to the North, a trunk-rattling ATL-LA producer collab, and a genre-bending Latin dance party, and more.

Preoccupation – Arrangements

Preoccupation release riveting new album Arrangements. Combining their guitar-centric roots with a newfound love for synths, the Canadian post-punk band creates a dark, rebellious and invigorating instrumental score of ominous lows and electrifying highs, with a healthy mix of thick guitar melodies and cinematic transitions. The Album delivers a salient lyrical message about universal indifference in the face of global chaos, with the opener “Fix Bayonets” calling the listener to arms. The LP is filled with highlights, from the irresistible riff of “Ricochet,” the brooding reverberations in “Death of Melody,” to the shimmering progression of “Recalibrate.”

Roddy Ricch – “Ghetto Superstar (feat. G Herbo & Doe Boy)

Compton rapstar Roddy Ricch teams up with G Herbo & Doe Boy on “Ghetto Superstar”–the three finding their flows easily over the sensational instrumental, which was produced by Mustard and Southside–the first time the legendary LA and Atlanta producers have collaborated on a track.

LATENIGHTJIGGY – Flavors 3

American-Trinidadian artist LATENIGHTJIGGY drops new EP FLAVORS 3–the project weaves soft acoustic riffs, diverse production, and catchy melodies to seamlessly blend elements of Latin, Afrobeat, R&B and pop on each track.

Sam Derosa – “The Good Parts”

Singer/songwriter Sam Derosa shares sentimental new song “The Good Parts”–the titular track off her upcoming album, the bittersweet, heart-crushing track chooses to look back at lost love to be happy it was there, instead of agonizing because it left.

Joe P – “Happy People”

Indie singer Joe P drops uplifting new single “Happy People”–creating a euphoric blend of swelling organs and vibrant guitar licks, it’s the perfect track for bringing in the weekend.
