MICHELLE released a 2-track single entitled THE SIDE DISHES, which serves as the “side B” to their sophomore album AFTER DINNER WE TALK DREAMS.
ADWTD was recently named Billboard’s Top Ten Pride Albums of 2022 and Entertainment Weekly’s 9 Artists to Watch in 2022, after opening for Mitski earlier this year. The album has fourteen alt-pop tracks that, like the dinner table, held the 6 band member’s most intimate conversations and experiences.
THE SIDE DISHES follows the legacy of “side A” with a creative on-theme title and two songs that tell another side to the stories in their last album.

“SEA SHANTY” is a compositional and lyrical stand-out. The song feels soothing to your brain, and the lyrics come off like poetry due to the haiku-like syllable structure of each line.
“It is a tense, pensive addition to ADWTD. Maybe a daydream, or a nightmare, the song soundtracks the calm before the storm – the moment before a journey, the moment after a sobering realization,” the band said.
The second track, “FOOL 4 U,” “offers something bittersweet, sitting in the kind of love that holds you – in the kind of love that suffocates you. It’s a song for the tenderness you hate to love, and once loved to have,” MICHELLE said.
