FLORIST share the track “Feathers” off their upcoming self-titled album set for release July 29. Florist will be the band's fourth full-length album but the first one they deem worthy of being named after them.

“Feathers” already lives up to the band’s promise that this album is the strongest ye, encompassing the heart of each member behind it. The song’s energy makes you feel like you’re sitting on the porch, staring at a sunset and reflecting on your life. There’s a serene self-awareness that coats the song. Its lyrics are masterfully strategic, but it also feels like reading intimate thoughts out of the singer’s journal.

Emily Sprague, the songwriter, describes the track as “a meditation on the cycles we follow all throughout our lives…the fears and the dreams that sculpt our journey through life through this experience of life on earth.”

The gentleness of the song makes room for multiple purposes: you can play it as you get work done, or you can play it as you sort through an existential crisis. It’s a song for all occasions, and playing it behind them is bound to make those moments feel more meaningful.

Catch FLORIST this summer on tour and stream their new album on all platforms on July 29th.
