Nashville-based singer/songwriter Dreamer Boy releases his reflective new single “HUES,” via slowplay / Harvest Records. In this newest record, Dreamer Boys describes the lingering, nostalgic emotions after a breakup.

"Seeing your world change around you, being in and out of love, and seeing the good and bad from the person you are with is what HUES is about,” says Dreamer Boy.

Through his “dreamy” vocal, Dreamer boy is capturing the regret of recently ended love. Throughout the lyrics, he perfectly reflects how things around him change after an end of a relationship:

“The walls in my room
Changing colors and hues
You're gone too soon
I still smell your perfume
I would rather hold on than to throw it away
I would rather let go than to beg you stay”

According to the songwriter, “The actual idea of the walls changing colors as you are magnetically connected to a person but seeing how the good may be slipping away. This song represents the push and pull of that relationship, even after feeling used, and only being there for them, you end up back at their place falling into their world again.”

Even with a '90s-style record scratch piercing the atmosphere, the sadness is recognizable as the track builds to a dramatic, electrifying climax at the end. With “Hue,” Dreamer Boy follows up "JUMPSHOT!"—which V Magazine called "the perfect carefree summer song, dripping with nostalgia"—and the exhilarating synth-pop of "OVER EVERYTHING,” further extending his diverse eclectic sonic palette.
