Pink Sweat$ Set to Release Debut Album "Pink Planet"

February 06, 2021 in MUSIC

As fans eagerly count down the days until the release of artist Pink Sweat$’s new album Pink Planet on Friday, February 12, he began teasing them with a clip from his music video for his new song “Heaven.” Both the song and music video will be released on Monday, February 8. The short clip on Pink Sweat$’s Instagram gave fans a glimpse of the aesthetic of his upcoming album, which appears to be geared towards love. The release date of the new album, just two days before Valentine’s Day, also seems to point to a love-oriented album. Pink Sweat$’s songs have consistently carried a theme focusing on pure love, so an album revolving around love would be right up his alley.

Pink Sweat$ conveys his vulnerable lyrics through a heartfelt mix of Pop and R&B. This past year, Pink Sweat$ released his EP titled The Prelude. The six songs on The Prelude deal with topics ranging from love to racial injustice, so those topics will likely carry into his new album Pink Planet.

“When Nep answers my Zoom call, she’s sitting in her car, fresh from a haircut and laughing about how she’s “recovering from getting my tonsils out at my parents’ house in Florida.” It’s an image that feels appropriately between worlds—half in motion, half in recovery—like much of her new album Noelle, out today via Harbour Artists & Music…”
